Hair-Do

It may not be obvious from her photos, but Daphne has some crazy hair. It's getting thicker and curlier by the day, plus she has cowlicks going all which way all over her head.

I haven't realized how long it's been getting because the curls keep it pretty short, but today I decided I might as well try some little pigtails. There's not much cuter than a little girl with pigtails, don'tcha think?

She didn't especially love the process of getting her hair styled, but I am sure that now that she realizes just how stunningly beautiful she is, she will sit perfectly still next time we fix her hair like this.

I'm sure.

**Photo Update...

Daph really likes wearing her sunglasses, so how cute and grown up does she look now?! Oh my. Excuse me while I go kiss her cheeks 100 times.

Too cute! Elise can get two little pigtails in the back, which hides that she's starting to have a mullet. :)

Don't you remember those really cute ponies I put in her hair a while back? Super cute FOUR ponies! I thought she really enjoyed those :)

"calics?" like "cowlicks?" I've never seen "calics," makes me laugh :)

Dream on to her sitting still anytime soon. I've been around her and 'sitting still' is not a phrase in her vocabulary. Have fun taking the ponytails out.

Seriously, I looked everywhere for the proper spelling of cowlicks/calics, and everywhere says something different. I liked cowlicks, especially because I think the term may have come from the hair looking like it had been licked by cows, but then other places said other things...I don't know. I just picked one.

Oh my goodness, Melissa. These are such cute photos. What an absolute doll. I am totally going to have to get all my girl longings out by looking at the photos of Daph. Though Tate was applying bronzer the other day, I think Ryan might draw the line at pigtails!

Haha I actually googled "calics" because I thought maybe all these years I just heard "cowlicks" and was wrong! But thankfully they mean the same thing. It's just a new funny word.

The updated photo is so cute! She does look grown up! You'll need to kiss her cheeks another 100 times for me!

Kyle liked the first picture, said she is silly :)

Calic has to be a word made up by city people who don't know what a cow lick is, and why it is called that, and what it looks like.

Daffy better come visit the farm more....
