Here We Are Again

David is pacing the halls making Daphne happy, since she came out of surgery mad, mad, mad! She was super happy again early this morning, but now she's a grouch. I guess that's OK. She has a good excuse.

Pre-surgery, happy and alert:

And now:

David is happier than he looks in this picture, I promise.

If her tummy does fine we should be released in the next couple of hours. Then Daphne gets to make a trip back to her first home, St. Vincent's, to meet her new friend Lincoln who was born yesterday.

Did she get huge kick-off proof casts? She needs to have a little more weight put on for the next level of strength training. Hope all goes well!

Poor girl! I hope everything goes well and she is able to come home in a few hours!

I just watched your video at the bottom of your blog. Very good!!! I can't wait to meet her in TWO MORE DAYS!!!

Who wouldn't blame her for being upset? Daph and Grandpa will have to get together and swap post-op stories!

Will be up tomorrow. Is Daph still wanting to go to the airport?

Thanks, Melissa. I just watched the video and am crying. At least I'm the only one in the office right now.

Daph is perfect, just the way God planned her to be.

Love you.

Oh Melissa...I'm reminded of Psalm 18:19 where David praises God for "rescuing him because he delighted in him". Definitely the months and weeks leading up to Daphne's birth were tough but God delighted in your faith and rescued you from fear of the unknown! Thanks for the video reminder!
